Old Things Pass Away All Becomes New I love this EP! I don't have a favorite song as of yet, but I love the direction that David went with this. It's a bit different than his prior material. A bit more solemn in feel. More piano, for example. When I saw this was available for CD, I jumped on it immediately since I was able to listen to the whole album to do a review before it came out. Always happy to support David!

Hello my friend I see you struggling again But this time you’re not alone Together we will Sail The Abstract Fight till we get back All the pieces and the memories Stolen from you Again and again Drowning in your misery I’m here for you Come cry on my shoulder I’m here for you You are not alone

Storm 03:15
You calm the storm, and the raging seas Come calm the storm inside of me Make the wind die down and all the noise So I can clearly hear Your voice Inside I feel I’m dying The tension is too much Like the woman bleeding I only need Your touch And when the lies say that You are nowhere near God I choose to cry to You Please take away all my fear inside You calm the storm, and the raging seas Come calm the storm inside of me Make the wind die down and all the noise So I can clearly hear Your voice Inside my heart races Afraid I will flatline This fear is overwhelming I’m running out of time I cry out to the Living God I cry out to Jesus Christ I call out in the midst of pain I choose to trust in You

Control 02:30
God I give You control This is me letting go Take the reigns from my hand I surrender to Your plan I’ve made a mess and you comfort me Now in Your peace when I release The grip from my hand This is me letting go This is me giving You control (Give it up now) God I lift my hands to You I know You’ll see me through Take the reigns from my hand I surrender to Your plan I’ve made a mess and you comfort me Now in Your peace when I release The grip from my hand When I can’t let go And I can’t control I will surrender This is me letting go This is me giving You control (When I can’t let go And I can’t control I will surrender)

In the cold dark winter storm Where I was reborn I will follow you Before the night turns into day And the moonlight goes away I will follow you The light shines down And hope remains Though things have changed You remain the same I surrender the sea of tears And glorify Your name YHWH In the storms of life we grow Learn what we didn’t know And it comes from you I surrender all I am To what it is you plan I will follow you I surrender the sea of tears And glorify Your name (Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Lord Almighty) YHWH
5.
In the middle of the night I awake Here in this purpose no mistake I hear a calling on the wind I hear you call my name again In this torment I see The voice calling me Is this the end I wanted all along? Is this the beginning of the end? Truth hurts when cutting through the skin Of all the walls I built up once again I see you now I see A glimmer of light Tonight it’s time to fight It’s never over, never over now A glimmer of light Together we will fight It’s never over, never over now I give up everything I am to You I see you now… I see A glimmer of light Tonight it’s time to fight It’s never over, never over now A glimmer of light Together we will fight It’s never over, never over now What are You trying to say to me now? What are You trying to tell me?

about

The next chapter in the David Pataconi audible adventure. This is not specifically the direction for my music moving forward, but an area I wanted to explore.

about

David Pataconi Tucson, Arizona

Evocative music for the nostalgic future. Uplifting Industrial and Synthwave. Armed with infectious vocal hooks and nostalgic synthesizers, my intent is to reinvigorate those who are hurting, and to incite hope and joy into the heart of each listener. Each soundscape is meticulously processed through musical atmospheres and emotionally-charged lyrical outcries of joy, sorrow, and hope in Christ. ... more
